Imagine capturing beautiful family portraits amidst the stunning backdrop of Cypress Point Park in Tampa, Florida, while about a million people enjoy the beach as well! This busy Saturday afternoon presented a challenge - finding a serene space that would make it seem as though the beach belonged exclusively to this wonderful Brazilian family of four. Spoiler, we managed, and had a GREAT time during our beach photo shoot at Cypress Point Park.
Graciously accommodating, the parents and their young boy and girl embraced the session wholeheartedly. It's families like this that make my work an absolute pleasure. Let me tell you about my recent family photography session at Gizella Kopsick Arboretum in St. Petersburg, Florida. This time, I had the pleasure of capturing a family of four with two young boys. What made this shoot special was the two vastly different environments within walking distance of each other. The arboretum was full of tropical plants and winding paths that provided an incredible natural setting. Just across the street was Tampa Bay, giving the shoot a beautiful beach setting.

At the arboretum, I was able to capture portraits of both boys amongst the lush greenery, and I'll never forget the moment when the younger boy acted like a photographer and took some playful shots of his family! It was an unplanned moment that added a unique touch to the photos. We then headed over to the beach, where I captured candid moments of the family playing together.
From the playfulness of the boys to the romantic moments between the parents, I was able to create a variety of shots that they will treasure for years to come.
