Beach Photo Shoot at Cypress Point Park

Imagine capturing beautiful family portraits amidst the stunning backdrop of Cypress Point Park in Tampa, Florida, while about a million people enjoy the beach as well! This busy Saturday afternoon presented a challenge - finding a serene space that would make it seem as though the beach belonged exclusively to this wonderful Brazilian family of four. Spoiler, we managed, and had a GREAT time during our beach photo shoot at Cypress Point Park.

Graciously accommodating, the parents and their young boy and girl embraced the session wholeheartedly. It's families like this that make my work an absolute pleasure. Through my lens, I had the opportunity to freeze this significant stage of their lives - where children still rely on their parents and parents shape the future of their family, one day at a time.

Mini Photo Session in FishHawk

Recently, I had the honor of photographing a wonderful family of four right on their own slice of paradise in FishHawk Ranch. And let me tell you, the location couldn't have been more perfect for this mini photo session. One of the things I love most about FishHawk is its natural beauty. The soft, golden light of the sun embraced us throughout the session, enhancing the already breathtaking scenery and adding a touch of magic to each frame.

As we embarked on this session, we were greeted by serene ponds, the graceful presence of Spanish moss, and those breathtaking sunsets that only Florida can deliver.

Winthrop Plaza in Riverview, Florida, a hidden gem that's perfect for family photography. This textural photo setting provides a variety of backdrops, including brick walls, ivy-covered buildings, and colorful murals, offered a variety of options for my latest family photo session. And let me tell you, this family of four was an absolute joy to work with!

The plaza may be small, but it sure is mighty when it comes to its aesthetic. Next to the fountain, it feels like you've stepped into a rustic Italian movie set. But take a few steps away, and you're transported to a much more urban environment, complete with fire escape-style staircases and energetic murals.

During the shoot, I captured a mix of senior portraits, beauty portraits, and candid family moments, all in natural light photography. And can we talk about the Florida sunset? It was the perfect magical backdrop to the entire shoot.

Fall Family Photo shoot

Let me tell you about one of my favorite fall family photo shoots of all time. It was last fall, and I had the pleasure of photographing two brother's families at the Ramapo Valley County Reservation in Mahwah, NJ. Originally from NJ, a Florida-based photographer now, I have to say it was a refreshing change of pace to shoot in the Northeast and enjoy the colors of fall.

The shoot took place just before the temperatures dropped too low, and the colors of the trees were still spectacular. The lake was also reflective that day, creating a stunning backdrop for the families. The boys were a blast to photograph, and their moods were ever-changing, but that created some of the best moments. Plus, the cousins clearly adored each other, and that really showed in the photos.

Now, one thing that really stood out about this shoot was the families' wardrobe. They did an incredible job of coordinating their outfits perfectly for a fall photo shoot, choosing seasonal colors that complemented the scenery. I cannot stress enough how important wardrobe is for group photos, and these families nailed it.

As a photographer, I like to be prepared for anything, so I switched between natural light photos and off-camera strobes with umbrellas. Fall light can be unpredictable, and I wanted to make sure I captured every moment without overexposing the stunning backgrounds.

Overall, this photo shoot was one of my favorites, thanks to the wonderful families and their great energy.
