Family Portrait with Pink Grass & Dogs!

In early November I embarked on a collaborative photography venture with my friend and fellow photographer, Megan of Megan Elise Photography. Megan captured beautiful shots of my family when we first moved to Florida, and this time we decided to ‘swap’ and create family portraits for each other. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to create this family portrait with pink grass & dogs!

The chosen locale, suggested by Megan, was a gem in Lithia in front of the Mosaic building. The paved walkway, adorned with blooming pink muhly grass, provided a gorgeous backdrop for our session. This shoot also marked my first experience capturing the charm of pets, featuring Megan's two lovely dogs. Despite the windy conditions, the lighting was perfect, and Megan's daughters effortlessly embraced their roles in front of the camera.

The entire session flowed smoothly, and I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. Collaborating with Megan on this photography swap was a fantastic idea, blending professional expertise with a shared love for natural light photography.

A week later, Megan returned the favor, capturing incredible photos of my family which we used for our holiday card. It was a special and much-appreciated experience, as it's not often that a photographer gets to step in front of the lens. Grateful for the experience and happy to know a very talented photographer willing to exchange her talents and create something memorable with me.
